Hi Guys, Welcome back to Crafts For Home Decor.
I LOVE Candle making. And this technique is one of its kind to make a textured candle. The cloudy look of the candle where the colors blend softly gives it a cotton feel.
Materials -
- Wax - Candle Mould - Candle Wick - Two vessels - Induction Cooker/ Double Boiler - Spoon - Wet cloth - Wax Crayons (For colors)
Procedure -
- Melt some wax in a double boiler.
- After the wax melts, remove it from the heat source and start stirring it with a spoon until it forms a creamy texture.
- Ready the mould by attaching the wick to it.
- Take spoonfuls of wax and pour it in the mould.
- Tap the mould once or twice to remove any air bubbles.
- Add other layer of different coloured wax to the mould in the same way.
- Leave it overnight to solidify.
- Then, slowly remove the candle from the mould.
- In case the candle gets stuck in the mould, put the entire mould in boiling water for 2-3 minutes and then try to pull it out.
